Papers, 1917-1951.

The Correspondence series, 1917-1951, includes letters written or received by Admiral Mitscher and letters to his wife, Frances, written after his death. During his years in the Navy, Mitscher received numerous decorations. The Citations series contains copies of the citations for two of his awards. In the third series are Night Order Books, kept during Mitscher's duties in command of Task Forces 38 and 58.
